Maggie just intended to get out of her parent's house and help out her best friend during her maternity leave. Little did she know that she would find a community, a potential love interest and start a book revolution in just a couple of months. Every business in Bell River revolves around the town's patriarch, a famous writer. The town is controlled by a descendant of the famous Bell who would like to keep everything stuck in time from the 1930's . That creates a host of problems for the local businesses and townspeople alike and dashes Maggie's marketing plans. She begins an underground book event which is hugely popular but could get people she cares about (and herself) in big trouble. The novel takes a stand for early feminism and righting historical wrongs as well as a lighthearted look at finding your superpower in an unlikely place. Emily Henry fans and readers of all things bookseller and librarian will find much to smile about. 4 stars
