Jasmine "Jazz" Bashara is a Saudi Arabian native who has grown up on the moon with only her dad to raise her. Just making ends meet, Jazz works as a porter (read smuggler) and is soon over her head when she takes on a job not to smuggle but to take out some machinery so another business can take over. Jazz is already one small moon step away from getting caught and deported and her machinist dad is not exactly over the moon with Jazz's life style and career choice. When her employer ends up dead and Earth thugs get involved, Jazz knows that she needs to make things right or die trying. Thrill a minute, non-stop dry wit and non-stop adventure all add up to another giant hit for Weir. Like "The Martian" this book has just enough technical science to make rocket science nerds weep for joy but not enough for non-tech readers to cry in frustration.
