While I really enjoyed this book once my heart stopped racing, I wouldn't suggest giving it to parents of young daughters on vacation. You totally should give it to those same young women before they go on vacation as a cautionary tale. Lux is unmoored as she follows the wealthy Nico and his boat to Hawaii. She works at a hotel waiting for their promised trip into the sunset to begin and luck seems to be with them when two young women hire Nico, Lux and their boat to take them to a deserted island for a couple of weeks. The deserted island already has a wealthy couple on it but they all band together for a glamping version of Gilligan's Island. Soon paradise has worn thin , sand and company begins to grate on all of them and doubts soon follow. What do they really know about each other? A first rate thriller that starts with a shock of cold water and finishes with a blistering sunburn of an ending. Fans of Rachel Hawkins as well as Alice Feeney, Samantha Downing and the lovely ladies of misdirection will find much to relish. 4 stars
